Cultivate Cochrane Society acknowledges that we are on Treaty 7 territory, the ancestral lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika), the Tsuut’ina, and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, as well as the homelands of the Métis Nation, Region 3. We honour the enduring stewardship of Indigenous peoples and recognize their histories and cultures that continue to enrich our community. As we work towards food sovereignty in this challenging growing climate, we express our gratitude to those on whose territory we reside. We strive to learn from their connection to the land as we support reconciliation efforts.
