Our Vision - what we want Cochrane To be

Cochrane and area is a vibrant, collaborative place where sustainable agriculture is widely understood and increasingly adopted in our challenging climate. Infrastructure exists so nutritious produce is regeneratively grown and accessible to all.

Our Mission

Cultivate Cochrane is a non-profit society that empowers people to grow their own food through demonstration and education. We collaborate to increase food sovereignty, climate resilience, health and wellbeing.

This won’t be your typical greenhouse! It will be a gathering hub where we grow community while answering the question “how do we feed ourselves sustainably in this place?” It’s all about solutions towards a rich, resilient future.
— Jackie Skrypnek, Cultivate Cochrane co-founder

This community greenhouse hub will:

  • Inspire people to grow their own food

  • Show and tell about efficient greenhouse design

  • Provide hands-on agricultural education

  • Show ways to create climate resiliency and food sovereignty

  • Provide volunteer opportunities

  • Inspire other communities
